This Asia-based luxury chain is planting a flagship property in Hong Kong this year with the spring opening of the Rosewood Hong Kong. The hotel will be located in a soaring new 65-story tower near the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront in Kowloon. The interior design is being overseen by Tony Chi, whose other notable projects have included the Park Hyatt Shanghai and Rosewood’s own London property. The hotel will be spread across 43 floors and will have 322 rooms, including 91 suites, of which 18 will be specialty suites. Guestrooms will start at a spacious 570 square feet and offer views of the Kowloon mountains, the city’s iconic skyline, and Victoria Harbour, as well as other refined touches like sumptuous linens, 55-inch HDTVs and expansive marble bathrooms. There will be eight restaurants and bars to choose from as well as a location of Rosewood’s new holistic spa concept, Asaya Integrative Wellness. Opening rates start at around $675. Rosewood will also be opening a Bangkok property in early 2019.
